Cell Awarded 2007 Police Officer of the Year
Pontoon Beach Police Officer Tom Cell receives the Police Officer of the Year Award, 2007, at the annual awards dinner from Harlon Keel,Secretary of the Pontoon Beach Masonic Lodge No. 1177.
Officer Tom Cell has been serving the Village of Pontoon Beach for over 32 years and has provided consistent service to the community. His dedication to his profession has been second to none and his fair approach to each situation encountered led to his selection as the Pontoon Beach Police Officer of the Year.
Becker Receives 2007 Fireman of the Year
Captain Patrick Becker of the Long Lake Volunteer Fire Department was presented the Fireman of the Year Award – 2007, by the Pontoon Beach Masonic Lodge No. 1177 at the annual awards dinner.
Captain Patrick Becker has been a member of the Long Lake Volunteer Fire Department since 1980. He continues to demonstrate capable leadership, competence and innovation when faced with activities far beyond that of normal firefighting. He is an Illinois State Certified Firefighter 2 Instructor and is an outstanding fireman and leader. His devotion to firefighting, dedication to training and commitment to others led to his selection as the Pontoon Beach Firefighter of the Year.
